Memorandum of Understanding between the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Transport of the People's Republic of China on cooperation in the field of road and inland waterway transport and construction of appropriate infrastructure.

In the field of inland waterway transport the Parties have agreed to cooperate in the following areas: (a) exchange of information on the current national legislation of the Parties related to inland waterway transport; (b) construction of infrastructure related to ports and inland waterways; (c) design, development and construction of river ports and harbor facilities; (d) technology and standards for construction, maintaining ports and fairways, straightening the channel; (e) planning and management of inland river transport; (f) safety of navigation and prevention of pollution by ships of the seas and inland rivers; (g) scientific research, education and training in the field of inland waterway transport; and (h) cooperation in other areas agreed by both Parties. The Parties shall cooperate in the following forms: (a) negotiations on specific issues; (b) organization of mutual visits; (c) organization and holding of scientific symposia; and (d) exchange of technical and legislative information.
