Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of environmental protection between the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of the Republic of Belarus and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Serbia.

The Parties shall cooperate in the field of environmental protection on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, guided by the goals and principles of sustainable development, in accordance with national laws and international treaties of the Parties. Cooperation shall be performed in the following areas: (a) application of economic methods to environmental management; (b) methodical approaches in the organization and conduct of environmental impact assessment; (c) conduct of environmental audit; (d) environmental monitoring; (e) air protection; (g) protection of surface water and groundwater; (h) protection and restoration of landscapes and ecosystems; (i) soil protection; (j) protection of wild fauna and wild flora, in particular of endangered species; (k) environmental protection in the process of transboundary movement of waste; and (l) ecological education. Cooperation shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) exchange of information, including legislative acts; (b) exchange of scientists and experts; and (c) conferences, symposia and seminars.
