Abstract
The purpose of this Memorandum of Understanding shall be development of cooperation in the field of emergency situations management on the basis of equality, mutual benefit and respect, and promotion of the strengthening of relations and mutual understanding between the Parties. The Parties shall cooperate in the following areas: (a) exchange of information, scientific and technical documentation; (b) planning, joint organization and holding of workshops, conferences, training courses, exercises, scientific research projects and other events; (c) training of experts; (d) implementation of joint projects of technical, social and humanitarian cooperation; and (e) mutual assistance of joint assistance to the third parties in mitigation of the consequences of natural and technological disasters.

This Memorandum entered into force on 19 March 2013.
Notes
This Memorandum is valid for five years and shall be automatically extended for subsequent five-year periods, unless one of the Parties sends the other Party written notice of its intention to terminate it no later than six months before the date of its expiry.
