Ministerial Decree No. 1370 of 2003 regarding validation of the Regulation on licensing of industrial fisheries and catch of aquatic invertebrates.

In accordance with the present Regulation State Inspection for Protection of Animal and Vegetable Kingdom is the authorized institution entitled with the task of issuing, modification, suspension, renewal, prolongation and revoking of fishing licences. Fishing licence is valid for 5 years on the whole national territory and after expiration can be renewed for another 5-year period. Licensing requirements include: 1. availability of fishing gear and fishing vessels ensuring industrial fisheries and catch of aquatic invertebrates in accordance with legislative requirements and state standards; 2. availability of storage and processing facilities complying with veterinary and sanitary requirements.
