Ministerial Decree No. 1694 validating the Regulation on biosphere reserve “Omgovichsky”.

This Ministerial Decree validates the Regulation on state landscape reserve “Omgovichsky” set up with a view of maintaining under natural conditions of unique natural ecosystem located in the province of Minsk, protected wild animals and protected wild growing plants, and also protection of natural habitats thereof. The following activities shall be prohibited on the territory of biosphere reserve “Omgovichsky”: (a) land reclamation; (b) industrial harvesting of wild growing plants; (c) exploration of minerals and mining; (d) ploughing up; (e) destruction or damaging of trees and shrubbery; (f) burning of logging sites; (g) application of chemicals and fertilizers; (h) main use felling; and (i) waste disposal.
