Abstract
The present Regulation shall be applicable to public forest and it establishes the modalities of allotment of standing timber, allotment of cutting areas and transfer thereof to forest managers for the purpose of timber extraction. Timber extraction shall be carried out in case of main, intermediate and other felling. In the forests of protected areas shall be authorized shall be authorized exclusively intermediate and sanitary felling, while in forest reserves shall be authorized only sanitary felling. In case of main felling shall be allotted standing timber damaged by forest fires, infected by pests, polluted timber, undercut, mature and overmature timber growing on land destined for land clearing. Timber extraction of the following forest species shall be prohibited: (a) durmast oak (Quercus petraea); (b) common silver fir (Abies alba); (c) basswood (Tilia); (d) Bosnian maple (Acer platanoides); (e) elm (Ulmus); (f) beech (Fagus); (g) Karelian birch; (h) cedar (Cedrus); (i) larch (Larix); (j) yellow fir; (k) willow (Salix); (l) yellow rhododendron; (m) cotoneaster; (n) plum (Prunus); (o) genista. The above-mentioned species can be authorized only for sanitary felling. Timber extraction and logging shall be authorized only in the presence of felling licence and forestry licence.
