Ministerial Decree No. 675 validating the Regulation on the Committee on Industrial and Nuclear Supervision.

The Committee on Industrial and Nuclear Supervision shall be the authorized national institution in the sphere of industrial, technical, nuclear and radiation safety, safe transport of hazardous substances, protection and rational management of subsoil. The Committee shall carry out the following functions: (a) participation in selection and substantiation of burial grounds for radioactive waste; (b) elaboration of regulations for safe transportation of hazardous substances, management and protection of subsoil, and criteria and standards for nuclear and radiation safety; (c) inspection of works and sites for the purpose of the enforcement of safety requirements; (d) final decision-making on the issues pertaining to its sphere of competence in case of dispute between the ministries and institutions; (e) international cooperation.
