Ministerial Decree No. 74 of 1 October 2018 validating the Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on poultry growing at poultry farms.

Veterinary and Sanitary Regulation on poultry growing at poultry farms establishes mandatory requirements for compliance by legal entities and individual entrepreneurs with the safety of works and services related to maintenance, growing and breeding, movement, trade, slaughtering of poultry, disposal, burial, destruction of poultry corpses and products of animal origin. Legal entities and individual entrepreneurs engaged in keeping, growing, breeding, transportation and trade of poultry at poultry farms are obliged: (a) to ensure that veterinary measures are taken when keeping, raising, breeding, transporting and trading poultry; and (b) to create conditions for conducting clinical and diagnostic examinations of poultry. It shall be prohibited: (a) keeping other species of animals on the poultry farm; (b) keeping poultry in personal farmsteads of the employees serving the of poultry at the poultry farm; and (c) to provide services by veterinary specialists in poultry production facilities to livestock in private ownership of citizens. For all categories of poultry it is prohibited to use feeding antibiotics. Anticoccidial drugs should be excluded from the diet, according to the period of bird excretion specified in the instructions for use the appropriate veterinary drugs, but not less than five days before slaughter of poultry.
