Abstract
The Parties have agreed to cooperate on the exploration of outer space for peaceful purposes in the following areas: (a) research; (b) distant zoning of the Earth; (c) space biology; (d) satellite navigation and positioning; and (d) protection of outer space, particularly against littering. The Agreement shall be carried out in the following forms: (a) planning; (b) joint projects and exchange of staff; (c) symposia and conferences; (d) information exchange and technical cooperation; and (e) planning and designing spacecraft.

This Agreement entered into force on 5 July 2001.
Notes
This Agreement has a duration of five years and shall be automatically extended for one or more five-year periods unless, twelve months prior to the end of any such period, either Party provides the other with written notice of termination.
