Official Letter No. 03-5-1-14/5080 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food regarding determination of body weight of livestock delivered to meat processing enterprises.

The Ministry clarifies that livestock and poultry shall be weighed before delivery to procurement organizations and other customers and the results of weighing shall be recorded in stock delivery note. This body weight shall be taken into consideration for determination of body weight increase for a given livestock group. Body weight calculated by meat processing plants with the application of real meat output ratio after slaughtering shall be considered specified rate characterizing product quality (fatness, fleshing etc.).
