Abstract
Chief Veterinary Directorate is a structural subdivision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food. The main tasks of Chief Veterinary Directorate are: 1) operative management of veterinary; 2) analysis of epizootic situation, elaboration and realization of special programs for the prevention and liquidation of quarantine and especially dangerous animal disease; 3) organization and carrying out arrangements for the protection of the population against disease common for animals and humans; 4) protection of the national territory against introduction of infectious animal disease from abroad. Republican State Veterinary Laboratory is a structural subdivision of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food and is subordinated to Chief Veterinary Directorate. The main tasks of Laboratory are: 1) organization and carrying out laboratory and diagnostic research; 2) improvement of methods of laboratory diagnostics of animal disease and control of animal products, and also fodder, fodder additives and water used for stock raising purposes.
