Presidential Decree No. 215 on environmental charges.

The President decree to apply environmental charges to national and imported products containing 50 percent and over of volatile organic compounds and exclude from payment of environmental charges produce confiscated by customs authorities and subject to destruction and also waste materials originating from the destruction of the aforesaid produce. Environmental charges shall not be applicable also to the following categories: (a) oil well gas; (b) drainage groundwater extracted in the process of mining; (c) water abstraction for fire water supply; (d) radioactive waste disposal related to Chernobyl nuclear disaster; and (e) emissions to the atmospheric air from stationary and non-stationary sources for which maximum emission limits have not been set.
