Presidential Decree No. 292 validating the Program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for the period 2021-2025.

Program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for the period 2021-2025 is a nationwide policy document adopted by the President of the Republic of Belarus. Program of socio-economic development of the Republic of Belarus for the period 2021-2025 expires in 2025. The Program defines the goal, objectives and priority areas of socio-economic development of the country, key measures for their implementation are reflected in the expected results and target indicators for the development of industries, sectors of the economy and regions. The Program is aimed at creating prerequisites for the growth of the well-being of citizens, ensuring comfortable living in every region of the country, development of human potential. The basic condition is sustainable qualitative growth of the economy. The main goal of the country's development for 2021-2025 is to ensure stability in society and the growth of the well-being of citizens through the modernization of the economy, building social capital, creating comfortable conditions for life, work and self-realization of human being.
In the coming five years, the activity of the state will be concentrated on improving the quality of life of the population through effective employment, sustainable income growth and improvement of the social environment. Focus on social safety and well-being of citizens. The key task is to strengthen epidemiological safety and to reduce the level of morbidity in the population.
The employment policy will be aimed at maximizing the involvement of the able-bodied population into the economy, increasing the efficiency of using labor potential. The task of the state is to create conditions for efficient employment and maximum involvement of able-bodied citizens in labor activity. The state policy in the field of social protection of the population will be directed on ensuring the availability of social assistance, strengthening its targeting and increasing the quality of social services. When providing social assistance, the state will be focused on the individual needs and living conditions of the person who is in a difficult life situation.
In the food industry, it is planned to increase production volumes with deep processing of agricultural raw materials, including the use of biotechnologies, master the production of fundamentally new export-oriented products, including those intended for children, pregnant women, the elderly people, for sports and diabetic nutrition.
The main goal of agricultural development is to increase its competitiveness while maintaining the food security of the country. It is planned to deepen production cooperation, create a cooperative integration formation with the participation of organizations processing agricultural products. Ensuring the biosafety of the agro-industrial complex will increase volumes of production of environmentally friendly products. It is necessary to stimulate the development of organic agriculture by providing state support for agricultural organizations and farms engaged in the production of environmentally friendly products.
One of the objectives of forest management is to increase the resource potential of forests to meet the needs of the national economy and society. All economically available timber resources will be involved in economic turnover within the limits of annually approved allowable timber extraction.
