Regulation No. 93 on the modalities of filling in and submitting the application for obtaining plant variety patent.

The present Regulation contains elucidation by the State patent institution of the modalities of application for, registration and submitting applications for obtaining plant variety patent. The State patent institution shall accept applications for winter crops till 15 January and for all other crops till 1 December for the purpose of patentability testing for the next agricultural season. The application form shall be forwarded by the author (selectionist). The application form must contain request for the issue of patent and filled in complete questionnaire of plant variety for which the patent is being requested. Questionnaire of plant variety must contain the following data: 1) name on plant variety in Russian and in Latin wording; 2) personal data of the applicant; 3) origin of plant variety, specification, the modalities of propagation, particular conditions of testing for novelty, distinguishability and stability (if available). The Regulation contains the list of plant variety protected in the Republic of Belarus and the application form.
