Abstract
This Regulation defines the procedure for planning the removal of game animals of regulated species, with the exception of the removal of bison of the reserve gene pool in micro populations of bison of the main gene pool, from their habitat in hunting grounds provided for lease and (or) free use. Planning for the removal of bison of the reserve gene pool in micro populations of bison of the main gene pool is carried out in accordance with the Rules for the Protection and Rational Use of Bison. Draft plans for the removal of game animals are developed annually and approved by users of hunting grounds for all types of game animals planned for removal. Planning for the removal of game animals, with the exception of bears and lynxes, is carried out by hunting users on the basis of hunting management documentation in relation to: (a) the entire estimated territory of their habitat, located within the boundaries of leased hunting grounds that form a single plot; (b) the estimated territory of their habitat, located within the boundaries of a separate hunting management zone (except for a quiet zone) allocated by hunting management documentation, forming a single plot. In cases where leased hunting grounds or a separate hunting management zone are represented by territorially separated plots that do not have common borders, planning for the removal of game animals is carried out separately for each plot. The period of removal is set as follows: (a) for fallow deer - from August 20 to December 31; (b) for elk, red deer - from August 20 to January 31 of the following year; (c) for roe deer, sika deer - from May 15 to December 31; (d) for wild boar - from April 1 to March 31 of the following year; (e) for mouflon - from October 1 to December 31; (f) for wood grouse and black grouse (at leks) - from March 20 to May 10; (g) for black grouse (in the summer-autumn hunting season) - from the second Saturday of August to the second Sunday of December; (h) for beaver, otter - from September 1 to March 31 of the following year; (i) for bear - from July 1 to December 31; and (j) for lynx - from October 1 to January 31 of the following year.
