Abstract
These Veterinary and Sanitary Rules establish mandatory requirements for compliance by legal entities and natural persons, including individual entrepreneurs, regarding the safety of work and services related to the maintenance, cultivation, breeding, movement of bees and the implementation of veterinary measures aimed at the prevention, diagnosis and elimination of tropilelapsosis in bees. In order to prevent the introduction and spread of tropilelapsosis in bees, bee owners are obliged to: (a) carry out continuous monitoring of the health of bee colonies, including the presence of ticks; (b) immediately notify the state veterinary service at the location of the apiary about cases of mass illness or death of bee colonies or if there is a suspicion of the presence of a disease tropilelapsosis of bees; (c) stock apiaries only with healthy bee colonies from apiaries, bees free from infectious diseases; and (d) trade of bee colonies, bee packages, and queens from apiaries should be carried out after their inspection by a veterinary specialist and in the presence of a veterinary certificate. The diagnosis of tropilelapsosis of bees is considered established when mites are detected in the material from bee colonies, and morphological examination of these mites under a microscope in a veterinary laboratory confirms their belonging to the genus Tropilaelaps according to identification characteristics in accordance with the Manual of Diagnostic Tests and Vaccines for Terrestrial Animals of the World Organization for Animal Health.
