Abstract
The scope of this Program is to ensure a stable supply of high-quality poultry products to the national population, allowing for the full satisfaction of the demand for eggs and poultry meat, as well as the sale of these products for export.
The objectives of this Program are: (a) intensive use of existing poultry farm capacities; (b) construction, reconstruction and technical re-equipment of poultry farms; (c) use of highly productive crosses of egg and meat poultry; (d) improvement of technological processes of production and veterinary prevention; and (e) introduction of the latest scientific achievements and progressive forms of labor organization.
Implementation of the activities outlined in this Program: (a) will make a significant contribution to the national food security and will fully meet the needs of the population for eggs and poultry meat; the average per capita consumption of eggs and poultry meat will correspond to the recommended standards of rational nutrition; (b) will ensure profitable poultry farming with a profitability of at least 40 percent in meat poultry farming and 20 percent in egg production; (c) will completely exclude the import of breeding young poultry of parental forms, meat and eggs, broiler chickens and final forms of egg production into the country; and (d) will satisfy the needs of the population and farms for young meat and egg-laying hens, turkeys, ducks, geese.
