Abstract
This Resolution establishes the procedure for packaging, labelling, storage and transportation of forest plant seeds. Packaging and labelling of forest plant seeds are carried out when a batch of forest plant seeds is formed in order to ensure their proper quality and accounting during storage, use and sale. Packaging and labelling of forest plant seeds during production, use and sale are carried out by organizations that have special refrigeration units. Forest plant seeds are stored in compliance with the requirements for the standard moisture content of forest plant seeds when stored in accordance with Appendix 1. Forest plant seeds with increased moisture content are dried within a month. For packaging forest plant seeds, the following are used: (a) for closed storage of forest plant seeds - hermetic containers; and (b) for open storage of forest plant seeds - boxes, bags, baskets, cylinders. Storage of forest plant seeds is carried out by organizations in order to maintain the proper quality of forest plant seeds from the moment of their production until their use or sale. Forest plant seeds are stored in special refrigeration units, seed storage warehouses, in adapted premises and structures. Storage of forest plant seeds for one year is considered short-term, and for more than one year it is considered long-term (for forest plant seeds of the first quality class). Seeds of forest plants that quickly lose their sowing qualities are not subject to long-term storage. Such forest plant seeds must be sown in the year of ripening or stored in a suitable room for a short period (until use in the spring of the following year). The records of stored forest plant seeds are kept by organizations in the forest seed storage records log in the form according to Appendix 2. The transfer of forest plant seeds for storage, use and sale is carried out according to the act of acceptance and transfer of forest plant seeds, drawn up in the form according to Appendix 3. Seeds of forest plants are transported by all types of transport in covered vehicles in accordance with the rules for the carriage of goods in force for this type of transport.
