Resolution No. 32 of the Council of Ministers “On the creation and functioning of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure”.

Regulation on the National Spatial Data Infrastructure defines the procedure for the creation, operation and development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure, as well as the procedure for analyzing its operation. The creation, operation and development of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure, and the analysis of its operation are organized by the State Property Committee. Agreement on access, exchange and use of spatial data sets regulates the terms of provision for use and use of spatial data sets included in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure, concluded between the operator of the National Geoportal and the provider. The main objective of the creation of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure is to provide, through information and communication technologies, access for suppliers and users to distributed information resources of the Republic of Belarus containing sets of spatial data, as well as the distribution and exchange of sets of spatial data in the global computer network Internet. Regulation on the National Geoportal establishes the procedure for the creation, maintenance and development of the National Geoportal, as well as the list of services provided by the operator of the National Geoportal. The State Property Committee organizes the creation, maintenance (update, operation), software and hardware support and modernization of the software and hardware complex of the National Geoportal. The State Property Committee determines the operator of the National Geoportal. The National Geoportal shall publish: (a) metadata on spatial datasets included in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure and services for these datasets; (b) basic spatial datasets and thematic spatial datasets included in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure; (c) services for spatial datasets included in the National Spatial Data Infrastructure; and (d) other information related to the functioning of the National Spatial Data Infrastructure.
