Resolution No. 45 of the Council of Ministers amending the resolutions of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of June 3, 2006 No. 702 and of October 14, 2006 No. 1348.

Ministerial Decree No. 702 on game management shall be amended to add a new wording establishing that the purpose of game management is inventory and record the game present on hunting grounds, assess the state of the populations of game animals, plan activities aimed at ensuring the rational use of the hunting grounds fund, increasing the efficiency of hunting management, protecting wild animals and their habitat. The user of hunting grounds is obliged to ensure the development and approval of the hunting management project before the expiration of the hunting management project or biological and economic substantiation. Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus No. 1348 validates the Statute of the Republican state-public association "Belarusian Society of Hunters and Fishermen", a membership-based non-profit organization created to carry out tasks of national importance assigned thereto. The scope of Association is the activity in the field of management of hunting and fishing sectors, hunting and fishing, aimed at achieving the following goals: (a) meeting the needs of the members in hunting, fishing and recreation; (b) improving the efficiency of management of hunting and fishing sectors, creating conditions for members for hunting, recreational and sport fishing; (c) involving hunters and fishermen to participate in the development of hunting and fishing, underwater hunting, hunting dog breeding, trophy business, tourism, shooting and hunting, fishing sports, as well as participation in the training of specialists, athletes and judges in these sports; (d) holding republican and international competitions in shooting and hunting all-around, fishing sports, as well as events in hunting dog breeding and other events in the field of hunting and fishing; (e) preservation of cultural heritage and identity, the best traditions and techniques developed by previous generations of hunters and fishermen; (f) ensuring the reproduction, protection and rational use of wild fauna species related to hunting and fishing; (g) promoting the implementation of scientific achievements and best practices in the field of hunting and fishing management; and (h) expanding and strengthening international cooperation with foreign hunting and fishing organizations, other specialized organizations of foreign countries, organizing hunting and fishing tours for foreign hunters and fishermen, sending members of the Association to participate in international hunting and fishing competitions and events.
