Abstract
The adoption of the State Program is due to the need for: (a) further sustainable development of animal husbandry; (b) reducing the cost and expanding the volume of prevention and treatment of farm animals and birds; (c) improving the sanitary quality of livestock products; (d) prevention of diseases common to animals and humans; (e) improving the trade balance with foreign countries; and (f) ensuring biological and food security of the country.
The scope of the State Program is to further expand the range of veterinary drugs produced in the national territory in order to ensure supplies to the country’s livestock industry.
The main objectives of the State Program are: (a) increasing the production and scientific-technical potential of the veterinary, biological and pharmaceutical industries; (b) development and production of new veterinary drugs using advanced technologies; and (c) development of export potential.
Implementation of the State Program: (a) will ensure growth in production and expansion of the range of basic veterinary; (b) will solve technical problems in the creation and implementation of a range of manufactured veterinary drugs; and (c) will create economic conditions for increasing competitiveness of veterinary drugs both on the domestic and foreign markets.
