Abstract
The goal of this Program is to complete the reconstruction of organizations producing canned fruits and vegetables, to increase the efficiency of their work and to stabilize their financial condition.
The main objectives of this Program are: (a) capacity utilization for the production of canned fruit and vegetable products and their use in 2012–2015 in accordance with Appendix 1, which by 2016 will be no less than 98 percent; (b) providing raw materials of the required range and quality to meet the full requirement for the production of competitive products; (c) an increase in the production of import-substituting and export-oriented products by 1.3 times compared to 2010; and (d) supply of at least 25 percent of produced fruit and vegetable canned products for export.
The tasks set are supposed to be solved by: (a) completion of the reconstruction and technical re-equipment of production installation with modern energy-saving equipment; (b) creation of stable raw material zones for organizations producing canned fruit and vegetables, also from local raw materials; (c) implementation of advanced technologies that improve product quality and reduce losses and waste in production; (d) improving and expanding the range of manufactured products; and (e) implementation of activities to promote canned products on domestic and foreign markets.
Expected results: (a) to increase the production of canned fruit and vegetable products in the country as a whole during the period of implementation of this Program to 598 million conventional cans; (b) to organize production of new types of products – directly squeezed carrot juice, vegetable-meat and vegetable-fish preserves for infant food, vegetable semi-finished products, vegetables in short-term storage vacuum packaging and others; (c) increase the volume of procurement of fruit and vegetable raw materials to 104.8 thousand tons in 2015; and (d) to increase the export of products to a level of at least 25 percent of the total production volume. In addition, the export of other types of canned fruit and vegetable products will be developed - semi-finished purees, quick-frozen products and concentrated juices.
