These officers shall also conduct a regular surveillance of the biological residues of animals being slaughtered in accordance with provisions of regulation 4. Records of all samples submitted for analysis shall be kept in accordance with regulation 5. Tolerance levels for biological residues shall be as specified in the Third Schedule. If the biological residues in an animal exceed the tolerance level, measures prescribed by regulations 7 and 8 may be taken in respect of a suspected animal. Regulations 9 to 11 concern the control of use and presence of prohibited or non-approved substances in approved establishments.
