Abstract
Regulations to make provision for the control manufacture, placing on the market, importation, etc. of veterinary products (defined in reg. 2) and animal feed. Regulation 3 defines the scope of these Regulations. Regulation 4 provides for the establishment of a Veterinary Drugs Control Unit within the Belize Agricultural Health Authority, which shall keep records on manufacture, sale, use of veterinary drugs, veterinary pesticides, animal feed, biological and biotechnological products, and carry out all other function listed in regulation 5 or otherwise serving the purpose of implementing the present Regulations. The Unit shall be headed by the Registrar of veterinary Drugs, Veterinary Pesticides and Animal Feed. There is also established a Veterinary Drug Control Committee under Regulation 7. Part III of these Regulations concerns registration of substances to which they apply. Part IV regulates the sale of veterinary drugs and veterinary pesticides and in particular the labelling of such products. Part V concerns importation of veterinary drugs, etc., whereas Part VI regulations manufacture. Regulation 17 of Part VII lays down conditions for registration of premises outlets, or other establishments that sell or otherwise distribute veterinary drugs, etc. (22 regulations completed by 4 Schedules)
