Belize National Biodiversity Strategy

The National Biodiversity Strategy of Belize establishes a national framework for the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity. The strategy aims to guide national action to protect ecosystems, species, and genetic resources while supporting sustainable development. It identifies long-term objectives for biodiversity conservation and promotes coordination among government institutions, research bodies, local communities, and other stakeholders. The strategy also contributes to the implementation of Belize’s commitments under international biodiversity agreements, including the Convention on Biological Diversity.
