Abstract
This Standard aims to provide requirements for salt for usage in food processing as well as for general household use. It also includes details of relevant test methods. It applies to the product of white crystalline chloride free from visible impurities and to sea salt, rock salt or vacuum evaporated salt. It lays down detailed requirements for additives, moisture, particle size and purity; packaging, labelling and sampling.
