Abstract
These Regulations amend the Environmental Impact Assessment Regulations, 1995 with respect to a wide variety of matters including: the National Environmental Appraisal Committee; the introduction of the requirement of the development and implementation of an Environmental Compliance Plan (ECP); the variation of requirements regarding environmental impact assessment reports (i.e. a limited level environmental study); approval of an environmental impact assessment or a limited level environmental study and relative Environmental Compliance Plan; appointment of a Tribunal to hear and determine all appeals made pursuant to the Environmental Protection Act, 1992; and the list of projects that require an environmental impact assessment, a limited level environmental study or environmental clearance.
