Fisheries Resources (High Protection for Biodiversity Marine Reserves) Regulations, 2022.

These Regulations are made by the Minister responsible for fisheries in exercise of the powers conferred by section 17 of the Fisheries Resources Act, 2020. Regulation 3 requires that the respective zone (Zone 1 to 7), as per the Fisheries Resources (High Protection For Biodiversity Marine Reserves) Order, 2022 (Order), shall be clearly demarcated by buoys or some other form of demarcation as determined by the Fisheries Administrator. Regulation 4 states that in the zones as declared by the Order, only scientific research and sport fishing are permitted. Regulation 5 makes provision relating to permission for scientific research and fees payable.
