Abstract
These Regulations provide for the establishment of an Advisory Committee for the purpose of advising on the efficient management of the reserve; prohibitions within the reserve, such as to engage in commercial fishing, sport fishing or recreational fishing within the reserve without a valid licence issued in accordance with these Regulations, and to engage in any activity which may cause negative environmental impact on species, habitats or ecosystems without written approval from the Fisheries Administrator; prohibition of extractive fishing within the conservation zones; prohibition of spear fishing within the conservation zones, the special zones or the preservation zone; prohibition of extractive fishing, sport fishing, snorkeling, diving or any other water activity in the preservation zone; application procedures for commercial, sport and recreational fishing licenses, scientific research license, Turneffe Atoll boat operation license, admission fees; protection of flora and fauna; and offences and penalty specified in section 15 of the Fisheries Act. Regulation 9 allows only traditional users for engaging in extractive fishing in Zone III: Vincent's Lagoon Special Management Area.
