Abstract
These Regulations are framed pursuant to section 19 of the Land Utilization Act (No. 16 of 1981) and provide for the Burrell Boom/Hattieville/Ladyville special development area. Regulation 2 read with the Schedule defines the Burrell Boom/Hattieville/Ladyville Special Development Area. Regulation 3 states that the type of development permitted includes agriculture, residential, commercial, tourism, wildlife reserve, and environmental protection. Regulation 4 requires the Land Utilization Authority to draw up a Development Plan for the Burrell Boom/Hattieville/Ladyville Special Development Area to demarcate the zonation and density of the types of development permitted. Regulation 5 makes it an offense to carry out any development work in contravention to the Development Plan.
