Maritime Areas Act 1992.

The text of the Act consists of 7 Parts, 25 sections and a Schedule. Preliminary (Part I); Maritime Areas of Belize (II); Rights in respect of Maritime Areas of Belize (III); Innocent Passage (Part IV); Charts and Geographical Co-ordinates (V); Jurisdiction of Courts and Other Legal Matters (VI); Miscellaneous (VII).
The Maritime Areas of Belize comprise the territorial sea and the Exclusive Economic Zone. The territorial sea measures 12 nautical miles seawards from the baseline. Except as otherwise provided in subsections of section 4, the baseline from which the breadth of the territorial sea adjacent to Belize is measured shall be the low water line along the coast of the mainland of Belize as well as the coasts of all islands and cayes that form part of Belize. The EEZ extends 200 nautical miles seaward from the baseline (sect. 6) if not delimited for reasons of overlapping with an EEZ of an adjacent State (sect. 7). Part III outlines the rights of Belize in respect of the territorial sea, the subsoil of the territorial sea, the airspace over and the seabed under the territorial sea and in respect of the EEZ.
