Pollution (Amendment) Regulations, 2009 (S.I. No. 101 of 2009).

These Regulations amend the Pollution Regulations by adding a new Part (XII:01) introducing a prohibition of the manufacture of ozone layer damaging substances and placing restrictions on the import and export of such substances. Any individual or company can apply, on the form prescribed in Seventh Schedule, to the Chief Environment Officer for a license granted by the Department pursuant to the Eight Schedule. The importation of Chloro-fluoro-carbons(CFCs) or mixtures containing CFCs and equipment or parts containing CFCs is prohibited.
