Abstract
The present Regulations enforce the Fisheries Act (R.S.C. 1985, c. F-14). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to pollution caused by deleterious substances in liquid effluents from mercury plants. Section 5 establishes the threshold value for mercury contained in effluents. The text – consisting of 10 sections – deals with the following aspects: method of collecting samples, reference production rate, analytical test method, calculation of actual deposit. Three Schedules are enclosed.
