Abstract
The present Regulations are made under the Nuclear Safety and Control Act (S.C. 1997, c. 9). In particular, the Regulations set out the licence application requirements in respect of class II facilities, including general requirement, licence to construct, licence to operate, licence to decommission. The text – consisting of 22 sections – deal with the following aspects: licence application, exemptions from licence requirements, certification of class II prescribed equipment, radiation protection requirements, and records to be kept and retained.
