Abstract
This Act is composed of 5 Parts containing 31 sections. It provides for the continuation of the Columbia Basin Trust, whose purpose is to invest, spend and manage its funds for the ongoing economic, environmental and social benefit of the region, including the preservation, protection and enhancement of the environment (sect. 4). The Board of Directors is composed of 18 members representing the different districts which make up the region (sect. 5). They must prepare a long term Columbia Basin Management Plan, setting out the corporations objectives, priorities and programs (sect. 15). The remaining provisions deal with financial and administrative matters relating to the functioning of the corporation.
