Cormorant Community Association Inc. Settlement Agreement.

The contracting parties, i.e. the Cormorant Community Association Inc., Manitoba Hydro-Electric Board, Her Majesty The Queen in Right of the Province of Manitoba as represented by the Minister of Northern Affairs, hope that this settlement helps to secure the future of people of Cormorant and support their efforts to create and expand economic and social opportunities for northern people. On the one hand, the people of Manitoba have and will continue to benefit from the production of electricity from the Grand Rapids Generating Station. However, on the other hand, this settlement recognizes the cost to the people of Cormorant arising from changes to local waterways caused by the Project.
