Abstract
This Act consists of 3 Sections and 22 Schedules that amend, repeal and enact various status. The Schedules to this Act come into force as provided in each Schedule.
Schedule 4 amends and repeals the Drainage Act in several parts with provisions regulating environmental appraisal notice, tribunal process, drainage work notice, including a section dedicated to Engineer’s Report amendments.
Schedule 6 makes changes to the Environmental Assessment Act adding the concept, definition and discipline for “designated project”. In particular, Part II.3 Comprehensive environmental assessments and Part II.4 Streamlined environmental assessments are added to the Act. “Designated project” means a project that has been designated by the regulations as a project to which Part II.3 or Part II.4 apply or that has been declared by the Minister.
Schedule 7 refers to the Farm Registration and Farm Organizations Funding Act, 1993; amendments concern appeal parties and time and powers of tribunal.
