Abstract
This Act concerns the management of Crown lands, i.e. all or any part of the lands vested in the Crown that are under the administration and control of the Minister and includes any water upon or under the surface of such lands and of forest and forest resources. The Act provides for surveys, for alienation and acquisition of land, including leases of Crown lands and acquisition of land by the Minister. The Act also provides for Crown timber licences, sub-licences and timber permits, the sale of timber and related royalties. Sections 65 to 67 provide for the control of unauthorized harvesting and related sanctions and sections 73 to 84 concern the protection and management of forests. Sections 85 to 94 deal with abandoned lands and their management.
