Abstract
The present regulations provide for the enforcement of the Canada Agricultural Products Act. They contain at the outset a definition clause relating to various terms therein employed, such as "acceptable method", "acid-type whey powder", "blended skim milk and whey powder", "butter product", "buttermilk powder", "certificate of inspection", container, contaminated”, “dairy product”, “edible”, “country of origin”, “edible casein”, “food”, “food additive”. Section 2.3 establishes that a dairy product that is contaminated may be marketed in import, export or interprovincial trade as animal food if it is fit for use as animal food; labelled with the words "Animal Food" or "Aliments pour animaux" or the words "For Animal Feed" or "Pour alimentation animale"; prepared separately from dairy products intended for use as food.
