Abstract
The present Regulations enact the Environment Act. The Regulations lay down provisions relating to the management of waste dangerous goods. For the purpose of the present Regulations “waste dangerous goods” means dangerous goods that are no longer in use for their original purpose or materials which have become waste dangerous goods through handling including dangerous goods intended for treatment, disposal or recycling. The text consisting of 13 sections – deals with the following issues: definitions, designation, administrator, exemptions from the present Regulations, storage of waste dangerous goods, specific storage requirements, general storage facility requirements, approvals requirement, contingency plans, approvals requirement, inventory and offence. Two Schedules are enclosed.
Entry into force notes
The present Regulations enter into force on 11 April 1995.
Notes
