Abstract
The present Regulation enforces the Environmental Protection Act (R.S.O. 1990, c. E. 19). In particular, the Regulations provides details of how, when and to which type of violation environmental penalties shall be applied so that persons shall be encouraged to: a) take steps to prevent contraventions; b) take steps to mitigate the effects of contraventions and to prevent their recurrence; c) implement environmental management systems; and d) enter into agreements under subsection 182.1 (9) of the Act to take steps for the protection of the natural environment. The text consists of 19 sections and 4 Tables.
