The present Exchange of Notes between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America introduces substantial amendments to Annex IV of the Treaty between the Government of Canada and the Government of the United States of America concerning the Pacific Salmon. In particular, Chapter 4 laying down provisions relating to "Fraser River Sockeye and Pink Salmon" is amended. This Chapter deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: application period, allowable catch, stock management groups, specific conservation and harvest objectives, fishing plans.
