Abstract
The present Regulation enacts the Environmental Management Act. Section 8 of the Regulation establishes that an operator of a fish plant must implement a “Best Management Practices Plan” for the operation and maintenance of the facility consistent with the objectives listed in this section. The text consists of 13 sections as follows: Definitions (1); Introduction of waste into the environment (2); Registration (3); Production cycle standards for sites with soft bottoms (4); Chemical trigger for sites with soft bottoms (5); Pre-stocking requirements for sites with soft bottoms (6); Domestic sewage (7); Best management practices plan (8); Monitoring (9); Reporting (10); Management changes and remediation for soft bottoms (11); Annual fees (12); Offences and penalties (13). Two Schedules are enclosed: Baseline inventory (A) and Operational monitoring (B).
