Abstract
These Regulations establish the following classes of community sales: 1. Class 1, consisting of community sales that are held not more than once in any week. 2. Class 2, consisting of community sales that are held not more than twice in any week. 3. Class 3, consisting of community sales that are held more than twice in any week and that have premises where cattle to be sold for slaughter may be segregated. All sales held primarily for the purpose of selling pure bred live stock registered or eligible to be registered in accordance with the Animal Pedigree Act (Canada) are designated for the purpose of clause 2 (c) of the Act. An application for the issue or renewal of a licence to engage in the business of operating community sales shall be made to the Director on a form provided by the Director; the Regulations provide further details for the licensing system, including conditions to license.
