Abstract
The present Regulation is made under the Forest and Range Practices Act. In particular, the Regulation (GAR) provides for the criteria and processes for the creation of localized areas that require special management of certain forest values. These values include wildlife, fish, water quality, visual quality, stream and lake sides and recreation. The Regulation also provides for the creation of objectives for managing these areas. Other resource features may include: wildlife habitat area, fisheries sensitive zone, lakeshore management area, scenic area, community watershed, an interpretative forest site, recreation site or recreation trail, visual quality objective, species at risk, regionally important wildlife. The text consists of 20 sections.
