Abstract
This Act provides for the creation of grasshopper control areas on petition by landowners, representing at least 60% of the total privately held land in the proposed control area, addressed to the Government (sect. 3). A grasshopper control committee, composed of landowners and at least one member nominated by the Government, shall determine the measures and actions necessary for exterminating or controlling grasshoppers in the control area (sect. 6). The remainder of the Act deals with offences and penalties and power to make regulations.
