Abstract
The present Regulations enforce the Health of Animals Act (S.C. 1990, c. 21). In particular, the Regulations lay down provisions relating to the improvement of poultry stock and the eradication of disease in poultry stock. Section 3 establishes that these Regulations constitute the”Dominion Poultry Improvement Program and the Dominion Hatchery Approval Policy”. The text – consisting of 13 sections – deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: application of policy and programmes, permits, hatchery premises, hatchery operations, test samples, hatching eggs, records and reports, packaging and marking, seizure and detention.
