Abstract
The present Regulations are made under the Indian Act. The Regulations apply to the cutting of timber on surrendered lands and on reserve lands. Section 3 establishes that no person shall cut timber on surrendered lands or on reserve lands without a licence. The text – consisting of 30 sections deals, inter alia, with the following aspects: permits for Indian use, permits to cut for sale, licences, renewals, fire protection, cancellation, seizure, proceedings following seizure, penalties.
