Abstract
The present Regulations enforce the Plant Protection Act (S.C. 1990, c. 22). In particular, the Regulations provide partial compensation to persons affected by tree removal undertaken by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) to control or support research on the following three non-native forest pests: the brown spruce longhorn beetle (BSLB); the emerald ash borer (EAB), and the Asian long-horned beetle (ALHB). The text consists of 6 sections as follows: Interpretation (1); Payment of compensation (2); Amount of compensation (3); Application for compensation (4); Other condition (5); Coming into force (6). One Schedule is enclosed.
