Abstract
This Regulation concerns the management and recycling of lubricating oil, intended as petroleum-derived or synthetic crankcase oil, engine oil, hydraulic fluid, transmission fluid, gear oil, heat transfer fluid or other oil or fluid used for lubricating purposes in machinery or equipment. It establishes as management board the Alberta Used Oil Management Association, which already existed as a society, and contains provisions on its functions and powers as well as on its operation. Under this Regulation, every supplier and end user who imports lubricating oil material into Alberta for the end user's own business use have to apply for registration with the Association. The Regulation also gives to the Association the power to make by-laws for the purpose of carrying out its functions (sect. 8).
